Wireless networks have long been part of our everyday lives. Whether for connecting to the internet or controlling our smart home - nothing works without Wi-Fi.
In recent years, WLAN has also been increasingly used in industry to drive automation forward and take it to the next level.
The I-WLAN used in industry was specially developed for this area of application and cannot be compared with the familiar home WLAN. It is specially shielded and particularly fail-safe. This ensures security against external attacks on the one hand and stable production operations on the other. It has long been used in logistics for driverless transport systems.
Now the I-WLAN is also conquering electroplating technology and putting an end to annoying trailing cables and chains
gt 2022 05 0084We, HEHL GALVANOTRONIC, have converted several systems to I-WLAN in recent years. And our customers are delighted.
In combination with insulated conductor rails, the maintenance-intensive, breakage-prone and error-prone trailing chains and trailing cables can be completely dispensed with. The elimination of restrictive drag chains and cables means that the travel ranges of the transport trolleys can be flexibly defined. The positioning and travel ranges of transport trolleys can be adjusted more easily and, above all, at any time.
By using I-WLAN, you are not only equipping your system for a future in which everything is networked, but you are already reducing downtime due to maintenance and increasing your flexibility.
In combination with HEHL transport trolley intelligence, you can secure even more advantages.
In this case, each transport trolley is equipped with a small control box containing its own intelligence (control system). As long as 400 V three-phase current is connected to the conductor rails, transport trolleys can be moved even if there is no connection to the CPU. This means that goods can be saved in the event of a CPU failure, for example. Even when new transport trolleys are introduced into the system, they can be moved in emergency mode without the need for a CPU to be present or in operation.
