Bohncke GmbH - a company that has been active in the design and construction of pumps, filter devices and filter media since 1988 - has also felt the effects of the pandemic. However, the company has used this time wisely and discovered new opportunities and challenges for the company.
It was - and to some extent still is - an unusual time. Unusual measures and resources were required. Despite the restrictions on personal contact, those responsible attached great importance to continuing to provide customers with the best possible support and assistance. Digitalization was therefore used as far as possible. Another challenge was the development and optimization of the filter devices and pumps as well as expanding the company's expertise with new, division-specific employees.
Industry 4.0
Bohncke GmbH was also particularly active in this area during the crisis and integrated Industry 4.0 into the existing PBNA (permanent non-glare nickel aggregate). It is now possible for the customer to receive a live transmission of the actual values on all end devices and to enable remote access for software updates by Bohncke programmers. This procedure makes it easier to evaluate the data and minimize reject rates. Series filter devices can also be converted or upgraded to Industry 4.0 if required. This allows the various parameters to be read out digitally. If desired, the customer can now have an automatic message sent to the operator with various information. For example, a maintenance interval can now be stored and planned.
Improving the future through experience
The company can draw on over 30 years of experience. One particularly important point has been internalized here: the priority for quality, sustainability and longevity. The failure of a filter unit can lead to massive quality problems. As a result, the costs incurred for the rejection of components, a new filter unit and the working time spent can quickly exceed the limits. These costs can be avoided by focusing on longevity right from the start. The electroplating peripherals should provide the customer with optimum use over a long period of time. It is therefore essential that Bohncke products are robust and durable and meet all requirements. This is the only way to guarantee a stable and error-free process.
The environment is an important issue
Raw materials are valuable and limited natural resources. To conserve them, it is all the more important to switch to sustainable and durable products. Thanks to highly efficient and energy-saving motors, Bohncke products fully comply with the current state of the art. The three-pillar model of economy, culture and social affairs serves as a guiding principle for sustainable development.
