How does a company become truly sustainable and how can as many stakeholders as possible be brought along on this journey? Eckert Schools, a private further education company, is now devoting a series of events to this topic. The project is called "Vision 2030". A series of events will kick off the project to define what sustainability means for companies and what small and large contributions everyone can make to shape a more sustainable future.
The concept: in five keynote speeches, inspiring people will share their experiences and convictions at the campus in Regenstauf. The aim: to outline the complexity of the topic and bring individual facets into line with the vision fields.
Benjamin Förtsch has now kicked off the new series. He describes himself as a "biophilic hotelier" and is the host and managing director of Hotel Luise in Erlangen. The 92-room hotel is now considered a showpiece in terms of sustainability.
From the environmental pioneer's point of view, facts need to be put into an understandable perspective, especially when it comes to sustainability: for example, that an overnight stay in a hotel produces as muchCO2 as fits in 4300 balloons. The sustainability expert considers superficial greenwashing to be absolutely ineffective.
Following this successful kick-off event, the format will be continued in June. Then Uta Anders, CFO of Krones AG, will be a guest at the Eckert Schools campus and speak on the subject of "Diversity" - in line with the Eckert Schools' vision.
