"Green Technology and Economy" is the name of the new qualification program for students of selected degree programs in the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Science and the Faculty of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Aalen University. The new program bundles practical knowledge on future topics such as energy and resource efficiency, e-mobility and renewable energies.
There is an increasing focus on environmental innovations worldwide. The markets for environmental technology and resource efficiency are therefore developing with particular dynamism. Companies active in these areas are looking for a growing number of employees who have sound knowledge and appropriate training. Aalen University is also responding to this need and is gearing its range of courses towards the topics of the future. With the new qualification program "Green Technology and Economy", Bachelor students of selected degree programs in the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Science and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Technology can acquire "green knowledge". The focus is on topics such as sustainable mobility, energy and resource efficiency and renewable energies.
"Students can choose their desired modules from a broad pool of subjects," explains program coordinator Simone Häußler. Upon successful completion, students receive a quality mark on their certificate. This highlights their achievements in a special way and increases their chances of choosing a career in innovative GreenTech sectors.
