The VOA (Verband für die Oberflächenveredelung von Aluminium e.V.) sees itself as a driving force and source of ideas when it comes to technical developments in surface finishing. VOA members work in special project groups on forward-looking topics in order to communicate practice-oriented solutions and research results. The VOA pursues topics such as quality management, sustainability and digitalization. Three project groups were founded in summer 2020. They deal with the topics of process documentation, foiling and factory certificate powder coating. Experienced experts from member companies contribute their knowledge on a voluntary basis. The project groups are coordinated by the head office.
In Germany, the VOA is the general licensee of the international quality marks Qualicoat and Qualanod. These enable licensees to serve global supply chains and thus the international market with quality-assured anodized and coated aluminium. The development of a standardized documentation sheet was desirable. This gave rise to the "Process documentation" project group.
