The companies Euromovement Industriepark GmbH and Hy2gen want to build a production site for climate-neutral fuels, particularly for aviation, in Jänschwalde, Brandenburg. Hy2gen will provide the expertise for the construction and operation of the plant, while Euromovement will provide the infrastructure and logistics know-how.
The plant will mainly produce green hydrogen and green kerosene for use in aviation. The actual start of construction is scheduled for 2024, with the plant due to start production in 2027. The initial electrolyzer capacity is set at 123 MW. "Green hydrogen and, above all, green kerosene are indispensable for decarbonizing aviation, especially for long-haul flights," emphasized Matthias Lisson, Managing Director of Hy2gen Germany.
