Room ventilation system optimized for the new TRGS 528

To coincide with the update of Technical Rule 528 "Welding work", Gebr. Kemper GmbH + Co. in Vreden, North Rhine-Westphalia, is launching a new CleanAirTower with a cleanable filter. With this relaunch, the extraction technology specialist is raising its room ventilation system to a higher level of protection. The manufacturer has optimized the filter tower in terms of extraction performance, system safety, service life and design.

"Our CleanAirTo-wer is the ideal addition to any air purification concept," emphasizes Björn Kemper, CEO of Kemper GmbH. "It enables metalworking companies to effectively protect their employees during welding and cutting processes, especially those with a high or very high hazard potential."

Thanks to a completely revised internal design, the extraction performance has increased by 10 % compared to the previous model. The newly developed pinball method prevents sparks or coarse particles from reaching the filter and damaging it. Because they hit special sheet steel elements on the inside, their own energy is automatically extracted. Thanks to the innovative air routing, the filter service life is extended by 20 % compared to the previous model.

In the new CleanAirTower, Kemper has completely redesigned the head of the filter tower. Intake openings are no longer located around the sides, but in the cover of the room ventilation system. At the top of the filter tower, a new tornado principle ensures that the contaminated air is drawn in with a very high degree of efficiency. The optimization also changes the design of the filter tower head. The element can be retrofitted to existing systems.

The CleanAirTower is the ideal addition for the spot extraction required for welding. The recently updated TRGS 528 recommends room ventilation systems as an important additional component in the mix of measures to comply with prescribed workplace limit values, particularly for welding processes with high to very high hazard potential. The CleanAirTower also effectively protects employees in surrounding workplaces from welding fumes. It separates more than 99.9% of respirable dust particles that can enter the bloodstream.

The Kemper room ventilation system operates according to the layered ventilation principle recommended by the German Employers' Liability Insurance Association for Wood and Metal. The automatic dust extraction system ensures uninterrupted operation. Welders dispose of hazardous substances completely contamination-free. The optimized interior design also reduces the amount of cleaning required.

Because the room ventilation system returns the cleaned and already heated air back into the hall, companies can save up to 70 % of their heating costs. Instead of a one-off investment, the CleanAirTower is also available as a leasing model at attractive monthly rates.
