A reason to celebrate for the industry: this year, the Schwäbisch Gmünd Industrial College presented 13 successful graduates of the technical college for electroplating technology with their certificates and diplomas as state-certified technicians.
Six graduates received a prize and five a commendation. As an additional honor, the Förderverein für die Fachschulen der Galvano- und Leiterplattentechnik donated a special prize for each of the three best achievements.
The successful graduates of the technical school for electroplating technology are
- Gebert, Jannik (commendation)
- Holzapfel, Sven (commendation)
- Mumme, Kevin (prize and 2nd prize of the sponsoring association)
- Nauman, Basim Raza (commendation)

The two-year technician training course covers the basics of chemistry, physics, electroplating and environmental technology as well as insights into circuit board technology and the areas from CAD layout to the finished circuit. A close interlocking of theory and practice is a special feature of this training.
The final examination at the technical college for electroplating technology also includes a technician's thesis. The range of topics this year ranges from the production of microstructures to increase the efficiency of fuel cells to computer-controlled production planning in circuit board technology. Once again, it is clear that electroplating is a key technology in our industry.
