ZVO Surface Days 2023 - technology melting pot and networking platform

ZVO Surface Days 2023 - technology melting pot and networking platform

Surface treatment is a key technology for solving current technical, scientific, economic and ecological problems in the development of new products. This year's Surface Technology Days of the German Surface Technology Association (ZVO) from September 13-15 will once again make a significant contribution as a platform for the industry with the latest findings on technology and processes.

Aims and focus

The main objective of the Surface Technology Days is the targeted linking of research and practice in the field of electroplating and surface technology as well as the promotion of cross-industry communication. The exploration of new areas of application for electroplated coatings, the increasing demands on coated surfaces and the examination of new legal regulations at EU and national level are central topics of the Surface Days. Experts from the fields of development, construction, design and production in particular benefit from the practical orientation of this event.

This year, electroplating and surface technology experts will gather at the Mercure Hotel MOA Berlin in Berlin

Exhibition plaza and lecture world

This year, electroplating and surface technology experts will gather at the Mercure Hotel MOA Berlin in Berlin. The congress promises to be an event with short distances. The lecture halls are just a few steps away from the exhibition plaza with its numerous stands. This year, a similarly wide range of topics relating to electroplating and surface technology will be offered there with numerous specialist presentations as last year in Leipzig.

The official start of the ZVO Surface Technology Days 2023 will be the opening evening on September 13 at 6 pm.

Keynote speeches on the opening day

The official start of the ZVO Surface Technology Days 2023 will be the opening evening on September 13 at 6 pm. After the welcome address by the new ZVO President Jörg Püttbach, participants can expect a prominent keynote speaker in the form of Regina Halmich - a pioneer in women's boxing, long-time world champion and expert in coaching. She will talk about the topic "Don't get stuck in the ropes: Commonalities of success in the ring and in business".

Four to five-part lecture program

In addition to the regularly recurring categories, the core of the lecture program, which begins the following day, is dedicated this year to the focal points of Climate Neutrality & Energy and Resource Efficiency, Entrepreneur Forum: Management meets surface, cost-effective and resource-efficient wastewater treatment, surface technologies for sustainable, climate-neutral and energy-efficient coatings, technologies for the functionalization of surfaces outside of electroplating, challenges in industrial component cleaning: New requirements for particulate and filmic contamination and much more.

The congress program will be rounded off by presentations from recurring areas, including research results: Reports from young colleagues, Wear protection & tribology, New requirements in electroplating and surface technology and Complementary technologies in electroplating and surface technology. In addition, a question and answer session on regulatory developments in European and national environmental and chemicals policy will be offered for the first time on Thursday morning - users ask, experts answer.
