Yamaichi Electronics offers various high-speed connectors, including the metallic push-pull circular connectors of the Y-Circ P product series. In addition to the standardized SPE versions, Yamaichi also offers customer-specific solutions for these push-pull connectors for a high number of mating cycles.
Yamaichi develops, simulates and tests pin layouts for high-speed applications in its in-house laboratory. The S1 pin layout enables the transmission of Single-Pair Ethernet (SPE) up to 10 Gbit/s according to IEC 802.3ch and Automotive Ethernet signals according to the Open Alliance Standard TC9.
The combination of the reliable push-pull locking mechanism in the small connectors and the innovative, patent-pending insulator and contact design offers the highest data rates for test and measurement applications with at least 5000 mating cycles. The new S1 pole pattern is available in straight and angled receptacles. Yamaichi can assemble the matching connector directly with an SPE-compatible cable on request.
Single-pair Ethernet is a future-oriented interface for electrical or electronic components and machines in preparation for Industry 4.0. SPE is regarded in the industry as the key to efficient and cost-saving data transmission from the sensor to the cloud. The use of two wires instead of the usual four or eight reduces costs and saves space, weight and time during assembly. The standardized SPE connectors are also available from Yamaichi Electronics. They contain both mating faces in accordance with IEC 63171-2 and -6.
