Compact MEMS pressure transmitter for process control

TDK presents the compact, robust AFA (Adaptive Frequency Agility) pressure transmitter B58620F3800B768 for screw mounting for a wide range of industrial applications, especially for controlling manufacturing processes. It is designed for a pressure range from 1 to 11 bar and temperatures from -20 to +125 °C. The dimensions are only 48 x 27 x 24 mm. The transmitter offers a high measuring accuracy of ±0.5% FS (Full Scale) in the temperature range +20 to +80 °C.

The piezoresistive absolute pressure transmitter is based on MEMS technology and offers a robust stainless steel pressure connection. It is suitable for measuring the pressure of non-freezing media such as fuel, diluted acids or contaminated air and is designed with a 0.4 mm diameter pressure connection and an M10 thread, making it easy to install. Non-linearity and temperature errors are compensated for by the integrated signal conditioner. The transmitter provides a precise, calibrated, analog output signal in the 0.5 to 4.5 V range with high immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI).

Typical applications include industrial process control, food packaging systems, pump monitoring and pneumatic systems.
