The HFD5 from Chinese manufacturer Hongfa (Jimei Xiamen) is currently the smallest signal relay available on the market at 9.0 x 4.8 x 4.9 mm³. It is the first of the fifth generation and is suitable for applications in the fields of medical technology, test, measurement and inspection systems for cable harnesses.
The HDF5 signal relay is available as a DIP or SMT version as well as a single-sided stable or self-holding version. The miniaturized signal relay is characterized by its low coil power of 50 mW and a maximum coil operating current (5 V) of 10 mA. It can also be controlled directly by a microprocessor. It has bifurcated contacts that ensure switching even of weak currents over the entire electrical service life. It is certified in accordance with IEC 60079 and IEC 60335-1 and is RoHS compliant. It is also available with 12 coil voltage on a reel. The signal relay is available from Williges Elektronic Services and Maluska Elektronik.
