Kraus Hardware is taking over all backplane production equipment from electronics group ERNI/TE, including presses, testing technology and tools.
ERNI, based in Adelberg, had already informed its customers in mid-2022 that it would be discontinuing its backplane and subrack assembly business in order to focus on other business areas. In order to hand over established customers into good hands, ERNI's long-standing business partner Kraus Hardware will take over the technical equipment for the backplane and subrack area and install it at the company headquarters in Großostheim in the course of 2023. Experts from ERNI/TE will accompany the start of production at Kraus Hardware and will also be available to answer questions and provide technical coordination.
Andreas Kraus (Kraus Hardware) promised existing ERNI customers and new customers in the backplane and subrack sector the usual processes, including development, assembly and testing. The expansion fits well into the portfolio of Kraus Hardware and complements the areas of 'box built', press-fit technology and component assembly.
