PCIM Europe, an international trade fair for power electronics, takes place in Nuremberg at the same time as SMTconnect and Sensor+Test. We asked Lisette Hausser, Vice President PCIM Europe, about the run-up to the event.
What are the driving forces behind the continuing rise of PCIM Europe?
Power electronics experts play a crucial role in future-oriented areas such as sustainability. Solutions for tomorrow must be developed today. At the same time, power electronics must always be designed more efficiently and integrated into existing systems. The PCIM Europe trade fair and conference brings together international experts from industry and science to drive forward the necessary products, research and developments along the value chain and keep pace with the rapid pace of change.
What should visitors definitely not miss this year?
With a record number of exhibitors and conference presentations, the event promises a more comprehensive range of products and services. In four exhibition halls for the first time, visitors can discover the latest products from more than 630 exhibitors, including companies such as Fuji Electric Europe, Infineon Technologies, Mitsubishi Electric Europe, onsemi, SEMIKRON Danfoss, ROHM Semiconductor, STMicroelectronics and Wolfspeed.
What does the international conference offer?
It includes more than 450 presentations from leading universities and companies on topics such as components, new materials for packaging and interface technologies, artificial intelligence and digital twins as well as system design for sustainability.
