Kitting' is the name given to the option of configuring all the required components of a product as a kit order. With the new kitting service, Beta Layout makes this possible for electronics developers. When a PCB is ordered in the PCB pool configurator, the appropriate component selection is immediately created with the Magic BOM tool. If the user gives the OK, everything else is routine: Beta Layout supplies the PCB, components and a free stencil, which is included with every PCB pool order. It is also possible to order the necessary accessories for assembly directly from the eSTORE - e.g. solder paste, tweezers or other tools.
Automated BOM creation accesses the stocks of Beta Layout and the most important component distributors in just one tool. The time required is significantly reduced. With combined kit ordering, the prototype specialist takes on the task of several suppliers at once. Compared to conventional component ordering, this reduces project management and delivery costs for customers.
