The Pforzheim-based family business Provertha is expanding the diverse WireClip portfolio of its process-safe wire-to-board solutions to include low-profile variants. With the new low-profile WireClips, ultra-flat installation heights of 2.5 mm can be achieved. The space-saving and economical clips are equipped with ready-to-connect cable assemblies that allow process and functionally reliable contacting of individual strands and wires on the PCB. These WireClip assemblies have proven themselves in industrial automation and the automotive industry, in critical systems in the field of vehicle safety and in the steering wheel area.
The patented WireClip consists of a specially designed plastic part with an integrated snap-in snap-in clip. The individual wires, which have been twisted and tinned using a special manufacturing process, are inserted into this component, angled in a device and shortened to size. WireClips are available as 90° degree variants and in straight versions, as well as special designs such as overmoulded variants. The new low-profile WireClips further reduce the space required compared to the single-row standard version. Compared to alternative solutions, the space saving is significantly greater. The current portfolio includes three- and four-pole versions for AWG22 (0.35 mm²) strands. Provertha can also produce customized wire clip assemblies with other numbers of poles and other strand cross-sections.
