US test and measurement systems manufacturer Tektronix has acquired European company Elektro-Automatik (EA), a provider of high-performance electronic test systems for energy storage, mobility and renewable energy applications headquartered in Viersen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
The new expanded product portfolio now includes Tektronix oscilloscopes and isolated probes, EA's efficient power supplies and electronic loads, and Keithley's precision source meters and instruments. Across this spectrum, the new Tektronix portfolio offers a full range of capabilities for energy storage and power electronics design requirements, from ultra-low to ultra-high power, providing a total solution for power electronics design. These include power electronics performance dynamics analysis with oscilloscopes and isolated probes, semiconductor characterization and quality control for low-power designs with Keithley SMUs and precision measurement instruments. Tektronix can provide solutions up to 3.8 MW with >96% regenerative efficiency.
EA's power supplies make it possible to boost voltage to 2 000 V or current up to 64 000 A with a low-noise regenerative instrument to minimize heat and EMI noise.
