Trackwise, a British manufacturer of flexible multi-layer FPCs, has ordered another Adix reel-to-reel direct imaging machine from Altix. This exposure system will be a UV-LED DMD solution that can be used by the customer for all processes (inner/outer layer, coverlay), according to the French manufacturer of exposure systems for electronics production. It is based on Altix ALDS Power4+ technology with four LEDs per head. Trackwise had previously ordered two RtR-DI machines from Altix.
Altix Vice President Frédéric Baradel: "This further order from Trackwise underlines the confidence in our experience in high quality systems with robust customer service." The Val-De-Reuil-based company has been manufacturing imaging systems since 1991 and has delivered more than 600 systems worldwide. It has sales and support offices in China and North America.
Trackwise's specialties are flexible multi-layer boards with unlimited length based on a proprietary harness technology and PCBs for infrastructure mobile radio antennas. CEO Philip Johnston: "The order for two such systems will enable us to expand into the production of flexible multilayer PCBs for customers in industry segments such as electric vehicles, medical devices and aerospace." The company manufactures at two UK sites and serves customers in Europe and North America.
