The MultiEyeS plus automatic optical inspection module (AOI) from GOEPEL electronic is particularly suitable for integration into assembly and THT placement stations. Since November 2023, the system has also been equipped with user-guided assistance for placement.
The entire THT placement process can be optimized by combining the assistance function for THT placement with a reliable and reproducible optical inspection. The inspection module is based on a 47 megapixel image acquisition unit with a flexible LED lighting system. This achieves high image quality and detail resolution with an inspection area of up to 650 mm x 550 mm. The module checks the presence, position and color of THT components. It also reads labeled and lasered 2D and barcodes and recognizes texts.
The integrated laser projector for the assistance function supports the operator during manual placement by displaying placement information such as position or component type directly in the field of vision. Errors detected by the AOI during assembly are also displayed directly on the PCB.
