Both parties signed the contract on September 23. According to AT&S, the purchase price (equity value) amounts to approximately € 405 million. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be finalized in the coming months.
The Austrian printed circuit board manufacturer AT&S took over the factory in Ansan in 2006 and quadrupled its turnover in just a few years through investments and innovations. The plant mainly produces flexible printed circuit boards for electronic systems in many different shapes.
The management of Somacis wants to continue to exploit the potential of the plant. The plan is to continue to serve the existing customer base, invest further in the plant and utilize and expand the existing technological expertise.
