Complete SMT line moves to Estonia

Yamaha Robotics SMT has delivered its '1-Stop Smart Solution' line for surface mounting to Ouman Estonia OÜ, a provider of control systems for smart buildings with locations in Finland and Estonia. The new line is already in productive use and is expected to increase both Ouman's production capacity and technical capabilities. The building automation market is growing rapidly, driven by customers' desire to reduce operating costs and energy consumption. The market is being driven by technologies such as IoT connectivity that support monitoring and control.

According to analysts, the sector is expected to generate more than $4 billion in Europe by 2028. In light of this outlook, Ouman's management decided to invest in new equipment to expand its portfolio of electronic sensors, actuators, controllers and communication gateways to make buildings smart and connected.

According to Rando Kubits, General Manager of Ouman Estonia OÜ, the company was looking for and found "a flexible high-mix mounting solution for our diverse product range". Yamaha Robotics SMT was deliberately chosen because Ouman values long-term support, technical expertise and the proven stability of its business partners.

Ouman has sites in Kempele, Rauma, Espoo, Turku and Tampere (Finland) and manufactures in Kempele (Finland) and Kuressaare (Estonia). Since 2019, the company has been part of Ernströmgruppen, a Swedish industrial conglomerate.
