Gradual transfer of responsibility

Gradual transfer of responsibility

At Ginzinger electronic systems, the Austrian developer and manufacturer of integrated embedded solutions for power and control electronics, founder Herbert Ginzinger has initiated the gradual handover of the company to his daughter Tanja Ginzinger and Michael Berger. Both are now members of the extended management board. Tanja Ginzinger will take over the areas of administration, development, sales and quality management, while Michael Berger will be responsible for production, purchasing and quality assurance.

Tanja Ginzinger has a technical background as a graduate of the HTL Braunau am Inn with a focus on environmental measurement technology. In addition to studying at BOKU Vienna with a focus on food and biotechnology and working as a study assistant at an institute for process and energy technology, she also worked in the company during her vacations. In 2013, she was involved in developing the growth strategy for the company. She was also jointly responsible for the selection and introduction of the management strategy tool 'Hoshin Kanri'. The growth strategy is proving successful: 2020 was the best financial year in the company's history.

Michael Berger has been an 'old hand' at the company since 1999. With the exception of development, he has worked in almost all areas of the company over the years. After a career change in 2011, he returned to the company in 2016. Among other things, he was responsible for the introduction of the new SMT line at Ginzinger in 2018, which is currently one of the most modern in all of Central Europe.

When Herbert Ginzinger will retire is currently completely open: "I am happy to accompany them for as long as I can make a meaningful contribution. Retirement is not a life goal for me and a complete withdrawal is currently difficult to imagine," he says with a smile.
