Imaging specialist Altix receives first AcuReel XL order from European user

SAS Altix, the French supplier of semi-automatic and automatic contact imaging systems, announces the first order for the new AcuReel XL system from a European manufacturer of flexible printed circuit boards (FPC). AcuReel XL is a contact exposure system with an extra-large imaging format suitable for all flexible printed circuit board applications in the automotive sector with a processing area of up to 500 x 1500 mm.

Alexis Guilbert, Product Manager for AcuReel XL, comments on the functionality of the new system: "With the transition of electric vehicles into the mainstream market, the demand for high-density flexible printed circuit boards is growing. This extends to applications in dashboard controls through to battery management systems (BMS). The automotive sector is driving innovation in imaging. A BMS not only monitors the status of the battery, but also optimizes the use of the battery cells. In this area, flexible boards come into play as connecting elements between the sensors of the individual battery cells and the BMS. Altix serves this market with its AcuReel contact printers and maskless roll-to-roll Adix direct imaging machines.

SAS Altix, based in Val-De-Reuil in Normandy, has been manufacturing state-of-the-art industrial imaging equipment since 1991. To date, more than 600 machines have been delivered worldwide. Altix has subsidiaries in China and North America and offers customer service on all continents.
