SMD stencil manufacturer Photocad from Berlin is now using a contact angle measuring device to enable customers to further improve the reliability of electronic assemblies in their production processes. It provides precise information about the interactions between liquids and solid surfaces.
Photocad uses these properties to monitor the surface quality of the printing stencil and the effectiveness of nanocoating. The measurement guarantees compliance with the prescribed specifications, optimizes performance and bonding of the components and shortens assembly times. The measurement results are recorded and documented to ensure quality assurance measures and traceability.
