The Japanese TDK Corporation has appointed Josef Vissing (57) as President of TDK Europe GmbH. TDK Europe is the company's European sales organization. Vissing took over on October 1, 2021 from Ludger Trockel (57), who is moving to Tokyo to head the Sales & Marketing Group of TDK Corporation's Electronic Components Business Company.
Alongside Vissing, Oliver Huettner (49) is also a member of the TDK Europe management team in Munich - as Executive Vice President and Head of Business Administration. Both agree: "With TDK Europe, we can offer our European customers the best possible support. We are concentrating on the three main markets Automotive, Industrial & Home Appliance and Communications. We want to contribute to TDK's growth strategy in terms of digital transformation and energy transition in our society." Industrial engineer Josef Vissing has been with the company since 1991 and has extensive business experience. Among other things, he was Head of Product Marketing for Ferrites, Head of the Transformer Business Unit and CEO and President of EPCOS (Zhuhai) Co. in China. Since 2016, Vissing was the Deputy Sales Director of TDK Europe and since 2018 Managing Director and Senior Vice President. TDK Europe was established in February 2015 and brought together the range of TDK and EPCOS passive components, modules and systems as well as the business with TDK magnets, wireless charging components and other TDK components and systems.
