At the beginning of 2023, Göpel electronic opened a branch in Penang (Malaysia). The provider of electrical and optical measurement and inspection technology, test and inspection systems for electronic components, assembled printed circuit boards, industrial electronics and automotive electronics systems aims to further establish Embedded JTAG Solutions in the dynamic Asian market in this way.
Thomas Wenzel, co-founder and Managing Director of the Boundary Scan Division at Göpel, justifies the choice of location with the strategic advantage of being able to "better support the large local customer base and to better develop the entire Southeast Asian region in the long term".
Lester Tseng, who knows the local market well, has been appointed Sales and Support Manager. According to Tseng, the office in Penang will enable Göpel to better support the existing customer base and offer the company's solutions "for the constantly expanding entire Southeast Asian region".
