At the beginning of the year, the NCAB Group acquired 100% of Meta Leiterplatten GmbH & CO. KG in Villingen-Schwenningen at the beginning of the year. The company will be integrated into NCAB Europe, as CFO Anders Forsén announced. Meta was founded in 2000, was previously fully privately owned and has 17 employees.
The company serves customers in Germany with PCBs in the HMLV (High-Mix-Low-Volume) segment, mainly in the industrial, consumer goods and medical sectors, and is expected to achieve net sales of around €8 million (and around €440,000 EBITA) in 2021. The PCB suppliers are located in China, Taiwan, South Korea and Thailand. NCAB expects the acquisition of Meta to have a positive impact on the Group's earnings per share in 2022. Synergy effects are expected in the areas of factory management, suppliers, payment terms, logistics and laboratory.
Annabell Uhl, former co-partner and CEO of Meta, is looking forward to consolidating the transition and further expanding the business: "Our company is characterized by a customer-centric culture with the aim of delivering superior performance and value. The biggest benefits of joining the NCAB Group come from the extensive factory management organization in Asia and the expansion of global resources."
In October 2021, the NCAB Group acquired the Norwegian company Elmatica AS, a large PCB trading company with annual sales of €36 million and an EBITA of around €4.5 million. Founded in Sweden in 1993, the NCAB Group is now active in 16 countries in Europe, Asia and North America and currently has an annual turnover of € 230 million.
