Now worldwide: Rutronik and Samsung Electro-Mechanics expand partnership

Samsung Electro-Mechanics (SEMCO), a subsidiary of the Samsung Group headquartered in South Korea, is one of the leading suppliers of passive components. The expansion of the partnership with Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH in North America represents a strategic milestone for both partners in the further expansion of the global market presence of SEMCO ceramic capacitors in the automotive sector.

Sutalo Stefan Rutronik"We are very pleased about the further development of our joint success story. By working closely with SEMCO, we have built a global network to support our customers worldwide," says Stefan Sutalo, Director Product Marketing Passive Components at Rutronik. "One of the absolute advantages of SEMCO is currently the long-term safeguarding of supply chains through in-house production and development."

Especially for global customers with locations in the USA, Canada and Mexico, the expansion of the franchise for North America means that Rutronik can provide local support worldwide and supply the various logistics systems with SEMCO components.

Multilayer ceramic capacitors are essential components for promising applications in the automotive & e-mobility, advanced robotics, Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things (IoT) sectors. For example, SEMCO equips the X7R ceramic multilayer capacitors for the automotive industry with a metal-epoxy termination as standard.

"With Rutronik, we have the right partner to grow, especially in the automotive sector," says Sungdo Son, President of Samsung ElectroMechanics America. "The global orientation of the family-owned company and the comprehensive network of sales, FAEs and product marketing offers us an optimal position to successfully position our products."
