Cms electronics founds the independent subsidiary pcbwhiz, which operates an AI-supported online platform for the global prototype production of electronic assemblies and acts independently within the cms electronics Group.
The platform enables immediate quoting for the production of prototypes. The software analyzes the specifications and extracts the most important technical parameters using an algorithm. In this way, the technical possibilities of production are immediately compared with the requirements. It also immediately checks the availability of materials on the market and automatically calculates the price of the prototypes. Technical queries or alternative suggestions for components in the event of insufficient material availability are displayed on the platform before the order process is completed. This ensures that customer orders are initiated in production promptly after the order is placed and the material is ordered automatically. The price remains unchanged after the order is placed.
The platform can currently be used to select Europe or Asia as the production location (soon also South America and South East Asia). All customer data processed by the software is stored in Germany for security reasons.
