Pooling resources for the Scandinavian market

Pooling resources for the Scandinavian market

The companies Scanditron and SmartRep recently became part of the Kamic Group (headquartered in Spånga, Sweden). Both want to combine their strengths: SmartRep will take over sales, service and support for Koh Young in Denmark.

As land routes are shorter and spare parts can be delivered to customers faster, Scanditron Denmark will be supported by SmartRep with manpower and expertise in Denmark, says Andreas Keller, Managing Director of SmartRep. However, because Scanditron offers complete SMD lines as a general contractor, Scanditron will continue to distribute Koh Young systems in Denmark, as it knows that customers appreciate all-round project management and general contracting, comments Björn Johnsson, Business Area Manager, Production Technology at Scanditron Sweden.

In the current transformation phase of the SMD industry towards the smart factory, the optical inspection systems from Koh Young are an important technology driver. This can be seen, for example, in Koh Young's pioneering achievements in SMD data analysis.
