Takeover of Swabian mechanical engineering company signed and sealed

MÜKO Maschinenbau becomes part of the ASYS Group. On February 24, 2023, ASYS founding partners Werner Kreibl and Klaus Mang signed the contracts for the acquisition of the mechanical engineering company based in Weinstadt near Stuttgart. MÜKO has been producing special systems for the automotive, plastics, e-mobility, electronics and medical technology sectors since 1996. The Swabian company is known for automated manual workstations, semi-automatic assembly systems and fully automatic machines with automatic parts supply.

The takeover became legally effective on 01.03.2023 and was carried out by the newly founded company ASYS Assembly Solutions, based in Dornstadt. By integrating the established special machine manufacturer, ASYS gains further expertise in the final assembly of customer-specific systems. According to Werner Kreibl, the consistently high order situation in the special systems sector will be used to ensure full employment at ASYS Assembly Solutions. The Weinstadt site will continue to operate with 74 employees and two production halls. Klaus Mang explained that ASYS was thus gaining "employees with a high level of technical expertise in one fell swoop". This is a great stroke of luck for the company in times of a shortage of skilled workers.

The Chinese subsidiary in Suzhou near Shanghai with 29 employees was also taken over. This further strengthens the ASYS Group, which already has locations in Singapore and China, in the Asian region, explained the third Managing Director Jürgen Ries.
