The dream of an apprenticeship at Peters has come true for three young men from the Lower Rhine. David Kersting and Florian Lehnen, both 24, started their apprenticeships as chemical production specialists in August. On the same day, 18-year-old Flynn Nowak began his training as a budding industrial clerk in Kempen.
"I like the trade and have an interest in and respect for chemistry," says David Kersting, who comes from Mönchengladbach. "At Peters, I get access to this natural science and learn the practical side of the subject."The passionate skateboarder came to Lackwerke Peters because his father had been working there in the dispatch department for years. After just a few days, activities such as preparing raw materials and preparing samples for the laboratory came easily to Kersting.
The same applies to Florian Lehnen, a Kempen native. Thanks to Peters, he was able to start an apprenticeship in his home town. "Chemistry is cool," says the Kamperlings native, who volunteers as a paramedic with the local Malteser International. "My first job is in production, where the paints are made. That's really exciting."
Flynn Nowak from Lobberich also found his way to Peters. He gained a good impression of the Kempen-based chemical company during an internship as a ninth grader, which has now been confirmed for the young trainee. This is the passionate mountain biker's first step into a career after completing his vocational baccalaureate: "Everyone here at Peters is very helpful and friendly. For me as a young professional, it's important to know that you can ask questions at any time. This openness is a given."
