30 years of Adphos drying

The Advanced Photonics Technologies Group (Adphos) is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Since its foundation in 1994, which began with the idea of "drying with light" and initial experiments in the garage of the current Managing Director Dr. Kai K. O. Bär, the family-run company has developed into one of the world's leading suppliers of high-performance thermal process systems.

With its patented aNIR and aLITE technologies, Adphos has installed over 5,000 systems worldwide. The drying systems combine electrothermal high-energy photon sources with temperature-controlled air flows, enabling extremely fast drying processes at temperatures of up to 2000 °C. At the same time, sensitive materials can be dried at temperatures below 2000 °C. At the same time, sensitive materials can be treated gently at temperatures below 50 °C. Adphos systems are fast, efficient and extremely space-saving - they require up to 90 % less space. The aNIR and aLITE technologies areCO2-free and, according to Adphos, save over 60% energy compared to traditional hot air dryers. They can be used both for new installations and for retrofitting existing systems.
