Yesterday, BASF increased prices worldwide under existing contracts for its additives for the paints and coatings industry such as Attagel®, Dispex®, Efka®, Foamaster®, FoamStar®, Hydropalat®, Irgafos®, Irganox®, Loxanol®, Rheovis®, Sterocoll®, Tinuvin® and Uvinul®.
Price increases of up to 35% are necessary to offset rising raw material, transportation and energy costs as well as other cost increases such as labor, packaging and maintenance. The increases are necessary to continue to support customers with high-quality products and services, the company said.
