There has been a change in the hot-dip galvanizing association environment. The Industrieverband Feuerverzinken is now operating under the new name Bundesverband Feuerverzinken e.V., accompanied by a contemporary image, according to the association's headquarters in Düsseldorf.
The members of the association create surfaces for the future with around 1.8 million tons of hot-dip galvanized steel for the construction sector, industry and infrastructure, it continues. The Bundesverband Feuerverzinken sees itself as a reliable knowledge provider and innovative driving force for the industry in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and throughout Europe and wants to communicate the added social value of its work clearly and authentically with the umbrella brand "Feuerverzinken".
As a result, there will also be changes to the former Galvanizing Joint Committee (GAV). With immediate effect, it will operate under the new name Forschungsvereinigung Feuerverzinken(www.feuerverzinken.com/forschungsvereinigung-feuerverzinken)." As a member of the AIF, the research association not only actively shapes practical projects, but also the industrial research landscape. The focus is on application-oriented issues from operational practice - such as process optimization, material development, innovative applications, resource efficiency and sustainability. Under the umbrella of "Hot-dip galvanizing", the research association will work closely with the Federal Association and the Hot-dip Galvanizing Institute in future.
