The decision has been made: The 34th Control - International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance - cannot take place as an in-person event this year either. After extensive consultations with exhibitors and the trade fair advisory board, trade fair organizer P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG had to decide to cancel the industry highlight, which had been prepared for 4 to 7 May 2021.
Exhibitors and trade visitors are waiting to finally be able to meet in person again. However, the current pandemic situation requires continued patience from everyone involved. "It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to cancel Control 2021 as an in-person trade fair," says Bettina Schall, Managing Director of P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. "Once again, we have made this decision with all those involved on the basis of common sense and a sense of responsibility." Many companies from all sectors had been eagerly awaiting Control as the most important specialist event for measuring and testing technology, vision technology, image processing and sensor technology and therefore the most important platform for industrial quality assurance, confirms Bettina Schall. "We therefore particularly regret the cancellation."
Control-Virtual connects suppliers and users in an up-to-date and consistent manner
Leading trade fairs such as the internationally outstanding Control are an important source of inspiration for the industry; after all, efficient quality assurance (QA) increases the competitiveness of manufacturing processes. Trade fairs are an irreplaceable platform for sustainable business relationships as a reflection of economic strength and due to the personal exchange. This makes the decision to cancel the 2021 face-to-face event, which the trade fair organizer made after intensive and constructive discussions with many representatives of the industry, all the more difficult. Everyone agrees that the importance of Control for industrial QA continues to grow and is even becoming more important in the current situation. For this reason, suppliers and users are once again concentrating on the Control-Virtual online marketplace: this means that topics relating to measuring and testing technology as well as vision technology, image processing and sensor technology are digitally available for lead generation around the clock, 365 days a year. With the thematically focused search engine, the desired information can be selected via the trade fair nomenclature. News on world premieres, product innovations and services from QS providers are available in a structured and up-to-date format at all times.
