DEKRA continues to expand its non-destructive testing (NDT) business and takes over the Witte engineering office in Versmold/East Westphalia. DEKRA is thus expanding its network of NDT locations in the northern German region. A particular focus is on inspection services for the energy sector and pipeline construction. With its sister companies DEKRA Incos, DEKRA Visatec and Ingenieurbüro Witte, DEKRA is now the leading provider of NDT services in Germany.
Ingenieurbüro Witte has specialized in non-destructive testing methods for mechanical and apparatus engineering, pipeline construction, the process industry, materials technology, foundries, utilities and the oil and gas sector since 1968. In addition to mobile testing methods, the company also has an accredited materials laboratory at its Versmold site.
"With this transaction, we are gaining highly specialized employees and a renowned customer base in northern Germany for our NDT business," emphasizes Guido Kutschera, Executive Vice President responsible for the business of the DEKRA companies in Germany. "As a leading testing company, we are thus building up urgently needed testing capacities, also with regard to future solutions for the transportation of climate-neutral gases such as hydrogen."
DEKRA Incos specializes in mechanical-technological material testing and non-destructive material testing, for example radiographic, ultrasonic and surface crack testing, leak and visual testing and special testing methods. Customers come from the process industry, plant and pipeline construction and the aviation industry. The company also carries out inspections of technical systems and components, manufacturer approvals and construction and welding inspections. Through its sister company DEKRA Visatec, DEKRA Incos also offers equipment and inspection systems for mechanized testing.
