Flexible and powerful ultra-fine cleaning modules

Flexible and powerful ultra-fine cleaning modules

With the Digital Modular Series, KLN Ultraschall AG is launching perhaps the world's most innovative ultrasonic cleaning systems on the European market. The DMS series is ideal for cleaning automotive components. The innovative feature: this system can be quickly and easily adapted to changing production conditions by adding or replacing modules.

Quick changeover, stand-alone usable modules

Conversions can be carried out comparatively quickly, often in just one to two hours. The modules can be conveniently moved in and out on castors without a crane or forklift. Plug them back in, update the software and the modified system, optimized for new tasks, is ready for operation again. This ensures high machine availability and therefore almost continuous production. The system components, e.g. for cleaning, rinsing and passivation, can be reconfigured again and again in different versions with different frequencies, just like dryer systems. The modules, each equipped with its own PLC, can also be used independently as stand-alone devices - outside the overall system. In addition to various transport systems, different filtration modules can also be integrated. The DMS cleaning systems have a modern design with an electropolished stainless steel surface that is perfectly suited to the application. For the best possible hygiene and cleanliness, all dip tanks have rounded corners to prevent dirt particles from sticking in the first place. All pipework can be sterilized and hoses have been deliberately omitted.

Our own tests show that both the frequency of the ultrasound and its homogeneous distribution in the tank have a considerable influence on component cleanliness. In order to remove even the smallest particles, strain gauge modules with patented multi-sound and frequencies from 40 to 132 kHz are available, even higher if required.

Environmentally friendly treatment of the baths by filtration, surface flushing, cascades etc. is possible. Here too, retrofitting of the respective functional areas can be realized with minimal effort. All connections and preparations are provided for each module.

For more energy-efficient ultra-fine cleaning, the rinsing unit runs a deliberately slow draining process, supplemented by a blow-off process, which - depending on the components to be cleaned - can even make drying unnecessary. The dryer modules can be optionally equipped with HEPA filters. The DMS saves resources anyway: it does not have to be "retired" or laboriously rebuilt when requirements change, but simply individualized per module.

System flexibility saves time, money and resources

The DMS concept eliminates the need to make permanent and often expensive subsequent decisions on the choice of cleaning technology. DMS systems do not ask: Is a central cleaning system ideal, or is it better to have several small systems? Is one final cleaning sufficient, or are intermediate cleaning steps better? Which chemicals and water enable reliable cleaning? Which components are actually installed in a cleaning system?

With regard to Industry 4.0, KLN Ultraschall AG offers the DMS, a process-reliable, almost infinitely expandable and customizable system for the highest demands of component precision cleaning. Already proven in the US and Asian markets, common standard components and modular design ensure short delivery times and attractive conditions. If you would like to see the performance of this fine cleaning concept for yourself, a DMS is available for trials in the KLN technical center.

At MedtecLIVE with in Stuttgart, KLN will be exhibiting a DMS module in Hall 10, Stand 10-243, as well as Nanopac, another new cleaning device development alongside the well-known Powersonic ultrasonic oscillating tanks.
