Architects, engineers, steel and metal fabricators, locksmiths, artistic blacksmiths, designers and building owners can enter the competition for the Galvanizing Prize for Architecture and Metal Design until 31 March 2021. The 15,000 euro prize has been awarded for around 30 years and honors innovative buildings, objects and products that are hot-dip galvanized to a significant extent or contain interesting hot-dip galvanized details.

In 2019, more than 1.9 million tons of steel were hot-dip galvanized in Germany. Important areas of application for corrosion protection using hot-dip galvanizing include architecture and construction as well as transport technology and vehicle construction.
