GrindingHub, the new leading trade fair for grinding technology in Stuttgart, has reached another milestone. "Barely two months after the registration documents were sent out, numerous market leaders have registered for GrindingHub. This means that Stuttgart is already the future center of grinding technology," says a delighted Dr. Wilfried Schäfer, Managing Director of the organizer VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association), Frankfurt am Main. And he adds: "In addition to the machine manufacturers who had already confirmed their participation during the first information round at the beginning of March, many renowned companies along the entire process chain have now joined us. " This strengthens the appeal of the new trade fair and also motivates other suppliers to decide in favor of the event, Schäfer continues.
The current list of exhibitors for GrindingHub, which will premiere from May 17 to 20, 2022, includes a good 100 companies. "Many exhibitors want to participate with representative stands. That's why we could already fill two of the four reserved halls at the Stuttgart trade fair center with the existing demand," adds Gunnar Mey, Head of the Industry Department at Messe Stuttgart.
Over the past few weeks, the GrindingHub organizers have also presented the trade fair concept to numerous other companies at four national and two international round table events, which were very well attended. "The interest was huge, with 118 companies and almost 180 participants, and we were able to obtain further spontaneous confirmations," reports Martin Göbel, Head of Trade Fairs at the VDW. The offer of 'fully comprehensive corona insurance' is certainly also a motivating factor. VDW and Messe Stuttgart are guaranteeing exhibitors that they can cancel their participation free of charge until September 30 of this year, Göbel continues.
The aim of the organizers is to cover the entire value chain of grinding technology in Stuttgart, from software, machines and tools to abrasives, process peripherals and measuring and testing systems. "With the existing registration list, all sanding and superfinishing processes are already represented on the machine and tool side," concludes Schäfer.
