Magnetic sweeper reliably removes particles and prevents accidents

In many industrial and manual environments, metal parts such as chips, nails, screws or pieces of wire can get onto the floor and cause injuries or damage vehicle wheels. The use of regular sweepers only offers limited relief here, as the metallic residues can quickly get caught in the brushes and impair the function of the machines.

Thanks to an optimized magnetic field and a special wheel attachment, even difficult areas are no problem for the magnetic sweeper from Magna-C. Source: Magna-C GmbHMagneticbrooms, which attract magnetic catch parts and thus reliably clean floors and other surfaces, are a much more efficient alternative. However, these devices often reach their limits on walls and machines as well as in corners due to their design with external wheels. For this reason, the magnetic cleaning expert Magna-C GmbH has added a magnetic sweeper to its portfolio, for which even these difficult areas are no problem thanks to an optimized magnetic field and a special wheel attachment: The sweeper removes metal particles from warehouse or workshop floors, from floor joints, holes and recesses, corners and machine gaps. The particles are attracted by an extremely high magnetic force and can be deposited in the desired location using an ergonomic foot lever and then recycled or disposed of. Even uneven surfaces are no problem thanks to the machine's height-adjustable wheels.

"In production halls or warehouses, for example, there are often metal shavings or nails on the floor, which can pose a risk in everyday working life," says Axel Bartsch, Managing Director at Magna-C GmbH. "These parts can not only damage the wheels of vehicles such as forklifts, but can also cause injuries to employees - for example, if a sharp metal part gets stuck in the sole of a shoe."

Conventional sweeping brooms and machines cannot reliably remove these particles. One of the reasons for this is that the metal parts get stuck in the brushes of these brooms and machines and often impair their function or even damage them. In addition, recesses or joints in the floor are often inaccessible for standard sweepers, which is why manual work is often required here. Cleaning can be carried out much more efficiently with hand-held magnetic brooms such as the models from Magna-C GmbH, for example, which can be used to pick up metal parts in a single hand movement and easily deposit them in the desired location. However, the devices have one disadvantage: "Their magnetic field usually doesn't reach right into the corner or close to the wall," explains Bartsch. "This is due to the wheels on the side, which get in the way."

Magnetic sweeper can even collect metal parts in corners

The magnetic sweeper from Magna-C can help here. Its wheels are positioned in such a way that the magnetic field also reaches corners and can reach right up to a wall. "There is a very strong magnet in the aluminum housing of the sweeper, which rests on the inside of the bottom of the housing when cleaning," explains Bartsch. "The magnetic force works through the aluminum floor and not only attracts metal particles lying on hall floors, but also on company parking lots, for example." The machine even collects particles from joints, holes or recesses, which then stick to its base. The only requirement for using the sweeper is that the particles to be collected must be magnetic. Whether they are screws, nails, shavings or other elements is irrelevant; it is even possible to remove metallic dust. Dirty, oily or wet particles can also be picked up without any problems.

Once all parts have been collected or if further collection is blocked by other catching parts, the elements can simply be deposited anywhere. All you have to do is operate the ergonomically positioned release lever by foot or by hand. This pulls the magnet inside the machine upwards. As a result, the magnetic force is lost at the bottom of the machine and the particles fall off. As only metallic elements are attracted, non-metallic dust or other dirt particles remain on the floor. The materials are thus separated and the magnetic parts can then be disposed of properly or reused, depending on their condition.

Height adjustment for uneven floors or large parts

All you have to do is operate the ergonomically positioned release lever by foot or by hand, andthe Magna-C magnetic sweeper is even suitable for uneven ground or outdoor use thanks to its height-adjustable wheels. "On rough outdoor terrain, there may be stones or similar obstacles on the ground, which could cause the aluminum underside of the sweeper to drag on the ground," says Bartsch. To prevent this, the height of the wheels can be adjusted. The more uneven the ground and/or the larger the items lying on the ground - including the items to be collected - the higher the wheels need to be set. As the sweeper's magnetic force is very strong, it can pick up almost all metal objects lying on the floor. This makes the magnetic sweeper particularly versatile.
