It was worth the wait. The new website of DVS - Deutscher Verband für Schweißen und verwandte Verfahren e. V. (German Welding Society) is online: contemporary, informative and user-friendly. Above all, however, the new website is responsive, i.e. tailored to all mobile devices. The DVS is thus fulfilling the wishes of many members and becoming visible on the cell phones of the next generation.
With the relaunch of the website, the association serves its various target groups and offers interested users an informative insight into the DVS world. The professional implementation is ensured by a newly founded web editorial team consisting of employees of DVS and DVS Media GmbH. The tireless commitment of the editorial team and the agile work of the individual DVS departments accelerated the dynamics of the project, which was implemented within just one year. DVS Managing Director Dr.-Ing. Roland Boecking set the deadline of May 2021 in the summer of 2020. The project has now achieved a precision landing.
The editor-in-chief is Kerstin Hase M. A., publicist and communication scientist, and Dr.-Ing. Ursula Beller, engineer and natural scientist. Both are driving the project forward with their different areas of expertise. The digital solutions from Mönchengladbach from jwied GmbH & Co KG form the agency framework for the design and implementation of the relaunch.
A website is a living project. It is never completely finished, but always in a state of flux. In weekly editorial conferences, all those involved work continuously on the content and continue to expand the website.
