As of May 1, 2021, customers of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland will be supplied by the Bodo Möller Chemie Group for the product area of effect pigments and additives for coatings, prints and plastics. The Offenbach-based specialty chemicals expert is thus taking over not only the customers, but also the staff of Surface Solutions at the Swedish Merck site, thereby expanding its range of performance materials. This means that existing customers will continue to have access to their usual contacts, while Bodo Möller Chemie will see a further increase in application know-how. The effect pigments and additives are primarily used in the paint and coating industry, the printing industry and in the plastics sector. The Surface Solutions business unit of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, offers materials for innovative surfaces that are more resistant and can also be processed effectively. Additives are used to achieve dirt-repellent effects and other special effects.
