With TitrIC flex, the new system from Metrohm for comprehensive water analysis, the entire spectrum of ions present in water can now be determined fully automatically. For this purpose, TitrIC flex combines titration, direct measurement and ion chromatography. The results of all three methods are collected in a joint database and processed in a joint report.
Titration and ion chromatography are carried out in parallel for maximum efficiency. TitrIC flex is fully automated and integrates an OMNIS Sample Robot. This modular autosampler can be expanded step by step to accommodate up to 175 samples, which are determined completely unattended. The samples are automatically filtered to protect the IC from contamination by particles. Physical parameters such as turbidity and color index can also be integrated at any time.
TitrIC flex is self-monitoring. The user is automatically informed when the calibration of the electrode or the determination of the titer is to be carried out to ensure reliable and reproducible results. Check standards are also automatically injected after any number of samples. The system is automatically recalibrated if the test is out of specification.
The following parameters can be monitored automatically with TitrIC flex (TitrIC flex II for anions and cations):
- pH value
- temperature
- conductivity
- p and m value
- Hardness (calcium/magnesium)
- Cations (e.g. lithium, sodium, ammonium, calcium ....)
- Anions (e.g. fluoride, chloride, bromide, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate....)
- Ion balance
