Metalloobrabotka 2021 live in Moscow with an outlook on innovations and trends for the international machine tool industry

Technological innovations, products for the mechanical engineering and metalworking sectors and face-to-face discussions: the 21st Metalloobrabotka at the EXPOCENTRE exhibition center in Moscow brought the entire spectrum of intelligent machine tools, advanced equipment for metalworking, cutting tools and components to life.

Around 33,000 trade visitors, most of whom came from Eastern Europe and the CIS states, came to the five-day event to find out about the products and services of the 790 exhibitors from 27 countries who presented their innovations on 32,000 square meters of exhibition space, once again confirming Metalloobrabotka's role as the leading Russian trade fair of international importance. The networking platform for mechanical engineering and the machine tool industry is one of the ten leading international industrial trade fairs worldwide and is held under the patronage of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Metalloobrabotka 2021 also impressed with its new Industry 4.0. exhibition area in Hall 4, which brought together leading digital transformation companies from the metalworking industry and young, promising start-ups.

In addition to international participants from Belarus, Italy, Switzerland and the Czech Republic, Metalloobrabotka 2021 offered an official joint stand organized by the Messe Düsseldorf Group especially for German exhibitors such as AMF ANDREAS MAIER GmbH & Co KG, Carl Zeiss, Hermle WWE AG, Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH, MHD Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH and ROEMHELD. 33 participating companies, including new exhibitors, took the opportunity to make new business contacts and position themselves even more strongly in the growth market of Russia

"We are very pleased with the response from international exhibitors from industry and mechanical engineering. Our customers were visibly pleased about the personal exchange at the trade fair and the opportunity to show their colors at the German pavilion. Despite the coronavirus pandemic and economic downturn, companies are sticking to their investment plans. This also benefits German manufacturers, who in turn contribute to modernization processes in the Russian industry," says Peter Schmitz, Director for Foreign Trade Fair Participations at Messe Düsseldorf GmbH.

An accompanying science conference rounded off the exhibition program. Trends and current industry developments were discussed in various lectures and events. The focus was on topics such as perspectives and mechanisms for implementing the strategy for the machine tool industry, new solutions for metalworking, additive technologies or robotics and Industry 4.0. Participants included representatives from authorities, ministries, large and small companies, leading industry associations, research centers and renowned experts.

The trade fair and conference were supported by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Association of Engineers, the Council of the Russian Federation and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Metalloobrabotka was organized by the leading
leading Russian trade fair company Expocentre, Messe Düsseldorf and its subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf Moscow.
