Hubertus Heil visited Galvanotechnik Kessel GmbH & Co. KG in Vechelde at the end of June. The Federal Minister of Labor, who is also a member of the Bundestag for the district of Peine, which includes Vechelde, visited Galvanotechnik Kessel GmbH & Co. KG to find out about the company's daily challenges.
The discussion with the management focused on the company's general economic situation, the energy transition and investments in renewable energies as well as the reduction of bureaucracy. "Galvanotechnik Kessel combines a modern working environment and sustainable management in an innovative way. The company is therefore a good example of a successful and self-confident training company in the metalworking industry in our home region," said Heil.
In conversation with the management Bernd Buhse, Marc Schreckenberg, Jessica Schnäker and Dr. Thomas Hartrampf, Head of Quality Management, as well as dual student Nico Schreckenberg, Heil discussed bureaucracy for medium-sized companies, investments in renewable energies and regional solutions for energy supply. Heil was accompanied by the chairman of the Vechelde SPD local association, Andre Pape, Vechelde SPD councillor Benno Schünemann and the managing director of the district craftsmen's association, Dr. Andreas Bierich. "We see it as our entrepreneurial duty to discuss operational issues with politicians. Only through joint dialog can we manage to achieve a citizen-oriented policy for our country," explains Managing Director Marc Schreckenberg.
