One extraction system for all: VacuFil brings the extraction performance for every burner to the point

One extraction system for all: VacuFil brings the extraction performance for every burner to the point

Optimally matched to the welding torch at all times: With the new VacuFil extraction unit series, KEMPER has created a unique combination of easy handling and needs-based extraction performance for torch extraction. The digital device variants VacuFil 125i, 150i and 250i automatically and permanently adjust the required air volume flows according to the individual burner characteristics. The W3 approval now certifies that the digital VacuFil versions offer the highest level of occupational safety. International machine manufacturers are also already successfully using the new high-vacuum technology.

To ensure that the shielding gas jacket is not destroyed, the torch extraction system must have the right extraction capacity. Each manufacturer's extraction torches require an individual volume flow for this. The new DIN standard EN ISO 21094 now specifies exactly how this is to be determined. "With VacuFil, we are creating a unique solution for torch extraction in accordance with these specifications," says Björn Kemper, CEO of KEMPER GmbH. "Our new high vacuum units not only impress with their extremely simple operation. Thanks to the automatic suction power regulation, welders do not have to laboriously determine the extraction power manually, they operate in compliance with standards at all times and the shielding gas jacket is retained."

Select the torch and the extraction adjusts itself permanently

KEMPER VacuFil 125i mit BrennerVacuFil can be combined with any standard welding torch. When welders couple their torch technology with the series' digital extraction units, they intuitively select the torch of their choice on a touch display. The devices then automatically adjust their output to the torch parameters stored in the device software. The integrated volume flow measurement ensures that the extraction systems constantly adjust their output during the welding process. This ensures that the highest possible air volume flow is always extracted.

Depending on the hazard intensity of the welding process used, the VacuFil 125i, 150i and 250i versions are available with different maximum extraction capacities. With the W3 certification, the Institute for Occupational Safety certifies that the systems meet the best possible occupational safety standard. They can even be used to extract welding fumes when processing chrome-nickel steels. VacuFil is generally suitable for capturing large quantities of fumes and dust during industrial welding. Automatic filter cleaning enables uninterrupted continuous operation.

Unique torch database created

KEMPER VacuFil 125i DisplayDuring the development of the VacuFil series, KEMPER built up extensive torch expertise with regard to the necessary extraction performance. The manufacturer determined the necessary torch parameters in its own test set-ups and built up a unique torch database over a period of months. If burner manufacturers change their systems, KEMPER readjusts the parameters in the master data and also adjusts the individual extraction capacity. Updates to the devices can then be made easily via the Internet using the KEMPER Cloud.

All devices are also available as analog versions VacuFil 125, 150 and 250. Welders set the required extraction power manually. As mobile extraction units, all new VacuFil variants are suitable for use at changing workstations or when processing large workpieces. Welders automatically carry the torch-integrated extraction unit with them when welding.

Earthmoving machine manufacturer orders 90 units

Shortly after the market launch, several international machine manufacturers were also impressed by the VacuFil solution. For example, one of the world's largest manufacturers of earthmoving machines ordered the first 90 VacuFil 125i units and is using them successfully in a production facility in the UK. Further orders have been coming in almost weekly since then. "The companies usually have torches from different manufacturers for different welding applications. With a single system, they can achieve a high level of occupational safety when using different torches," says Marc Crawford, UK Sales Manager at KEMPER.
