The testing and certification organization DEKRA will offer comprehensive artificial intelligence (AI) screening in the future. The new services ensure secure AI solutions and take into account future AI testing and certification regulations. The services will be developed along the AI solution cycle and adapted to future legal frameworks for AI technology.
The spread and potential of artificial intelligence (AI) is enormous, but the development is outpacing that of standards. DEKRA is using its almost 100 years of expertise in testing and certification to build trust in AI.
"AI safety is crucial in the fast-paced AI era"
The launch of the first AI testing and certification services enables proactive preparation for regulations and building trust in AI solutions. "AI safety is critical in the fast-paced AI era. DEKRA is shaping trustworthiness of AI globally," says Fernando Hardasmal, DEKRA Executive Vice President. Services are being expanded to support customers at every stage. The integration of AI into products emphasizes safety.
DEKRA also offers consulting and training to tackle AI regulations. Initial AI testing includes assessment and testing, such as model robustness and risk management. The aim is compliance to the highest standards. "In the evolving AI landscape, embedding AI in products and services itself is no longer the key differentiator. In the near future, competitive advantages will come from ensuring the safety of AI-supported solutions," says Xavier Valero, Director AI & Advanced Analytics at DEKRA. DEKRA has founded the CertifAI joint venture for the trustworthiness of AI applications together with management consultants PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the Hamburg Innovation Fund. The DEKRA AI unit is developing the AI test together with CertifAI.
