The surface chemicals specialist SurTec has acquired the chemicals business of Italtecno, a company based in Modena, Italy. Italtecno specializes in the research, development and distribution of chemical specialties for the surface treatment of aluminium alloys and steel. The product range includes chemical products for the architectural, automotive and aerospace industries as well as for decorative, mechanical and other industrial components.
SurTec and Italtecno have been working together in Italy for many years in the field of metal pre-treatment. SurTec will distribute Italtecno's well-established products for the aluminum market worldwide and further expand the business.

"With a view to a growth-oriented strategy, the owners have decided to arrange the succession through the takeover by a long-term strategic partner."
