The Tetrix XQ offers a special welding experience

The new Tetrix XQ 230 from EWM enables TIG welding at the highest level. Users benefit from the latest technology to achieve optimum welding results with a perfect weld seam. Germany's largest manufacturer of arc welding technology has placed particular emphasis on improved user-friendliness. The new control unit with its 7-inch color display has a particularly clear design, is intuitive to operate and provides optimum support when setting parameters. Welding tasks can be individually programmed and called up again at any time.

With a current of up to 230 A, the TIG welding machine is extremely powerful and can be connected directly to a single-phase 230 V socket. Whether on the construction site or in the industrial sector - the welding machine enables continuous work even with weak power supplies, long power cables or in generator mode. Depending on the welding task, the user can choose from numerous TIG and MMA functions. Up to four pulse variants are available. Users benefit from ideal welding properties with a significantly more stable arc and optimum weld seams. The Tetrix XQ 230 is available as a DC and AC/DC version and therefore covers a wide range of applications. Different materials can be welded perfectly: from low and high-alloy steels, aluminum and aluminum alloys to non-ferrous metals and titanium. The range of applications extends from the food industry to aerospace, the chemical industry, mechanical and plant engineering and the metalworking trade.

Easy and intuitive to use

A particular strength of the new Tetrix XQ 230 is its user-friendliness. In addition to the tried-and-tested Comfort 3.0 control unit, the new Expert 3.0 control unit, which has a high-resolution 7-inch color display, is also available. This clearly displays all parameter settings and flow charts. All functions are directly accessible and numerous illustrated instructions and quick menus provide additional support during operation. The controls can be precisely adjusted using the ergonomic click-wheel. A touchscreen has been deliberately omitted to allow comfortable operation even when wearing welding gloves. The user can program five individual welding tasks as favourites and call them up at the touch of a button.

Many other details ensure an improved work process. For example, the operating status is visible at all times via the integrated LED bar. The ergonomic design of the TIG welding machine makes working safe and easy. Thanks to its robust design, the device is also suitable for use in harsh environments. The control unit is protected from dirt by a flap, but can also be operated with the flap closed. Another plus: the extremely quiet, temperature-controlled fan with optimized air flow. The Tetrix XQ 230 can be optionally equipped with a cooling unit, welding torch and trolley for transportation on construction sites or in the workshop. The water-based Cool XQ cooling system enables continuous operation of the welding torch even at high welding currents, under the heaviest loads and in unfavorable ambient conditions.
